Day 1: Meeting and boarding. Slowboat trip.
After boarding we will have lunch and leave with the floating hotel towards Crișan. Next to Mila 36 canal, we will embark on the slowboat and set off on the route – Mila 36 Canal, Sireasa, Sontea, Nebunu Lake, Baclanesti Lake, Canal 22, Gorgova. The trip will take about 5 hours. In Gorgova we return to the floating hotel with which we will continue on the Sulina branch to the Madgearu canal, where we will spend the night.
The guide is the one who makes the difference between a trip and a journey. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide who will help you discover and understand the Danube Delta.
We will have dinner aboard the ship after sunset.
Day 2: Letea village and forest. Lakes trip.
In the morning, after breakfast (8:30 a.m.), we set off by slowboat to the famous Letea village, where we will arrive after about two hours of exploring the Madgearu canal with the floating islands called “plauri” (“reed isles”) and the stretches of water covered with water lilies. After visiting the village, we will travel with a cart to Letea forest. Here we visit the sand dunes and lush vegetation that have made this place famous. At noon we will return to the floating hotel.
In the afternoon we will embark on the boat again in order to explore the area of the famous lakes – Bogdaproste, La Amiaza, Cazanel and Trei Iezere. In the evening we return to the floating hotel near Mila 23 village, on the Lopatna canal. A good dinner awaits us aboard the floating hotel.
Day 3: Birds paradise. Canal 36 trip.
In the morning, after breakfast (8:30 a.m.), we go again on a trip. We go to see the lakes in the area of Mila23 village, Ligheanca, Baclanesti, Furtuna, areas with many birds and dream landscapes. At noon we return to the floating hotel, near Baclanesti lake and we continue (aboard the hotel) to Canal 36 where we will spend the night. This afternoon is perfect for relaxing on the hotel’s open terrace, where you can admire the spectacular scenery during the travel.
Day 4: Sunrise trip. Transfer to Tulcea.
Early in the morning, at 5:00 – 6:00 a.m. (depending on the time the sun rises) we will make a sunrise trip, in order to enjoy for the last time (in this stay) the beauties of nature. We go to La Cotete Lake and exit on the Trofilca canal – very beautiful, lively and interesting areas, especially if they are presented by a well-informed guide.
Considering that the morning is colder than the rest of the day, please pack a jacket with you.
After this short tour, we return to the floating hotel for breakfast while going to Tulcea. The debarking will be at around 10:00 a.m.
